ABOUT … WATER ENVIRONMENTAL CARE ASSOCIATION.

Weca was founded to draw together the Horowhenua – Manawatu community to advocate for our waterways. Decades of poor management and shortsighted policies have created issues for rivers, seabeds and lakes across the region.

This is a grassroots movement for community members and groups who are concerned about our natural environment and are interested in best regenerative, innovative practices to restore our waterways.

We will draw together experts, identify best practices and share discoveries of innovative green technologies to provide both clear identification of the issues and an inspirational resource for what is possible, if we can all work together.
